I'm sure you've been wondering what I have been up to. It's been awhile since I've blogged and I'm sure you think I am taking it easy this winter, well think again. I've been working hard to bring new products to you, the most loyal customers around. Just in time for St. Patrick's Day, Ireland and Old Lace is now carrying Irish bangers, rashers and puddings. Now you too can have a full traditional Irish breakfast in your own home on March 17th. It's unbelievable the way the bangers are flying out the door, we've had to re-order already, though I must say they are quite lovely. I mean who doesn't like a proper Irish sausage. In addition to our Irish meats, we have a lovely new collection of Celtic Tradition china that is really giving Belleek a run for the money. The designs are beautiful and prices very reasonable. We also have a fab new selection of Irish wear for the Parade or your very own Celebration. Make sure to check out Fiona's Attic, the second floor of Ireland and Old Lace, for all your Irish gear. Finally, come join us celebrate the Emerald Isle and your good man, St. Patrick himself, on Sunday March 15th from 2-4pm. Ireland and Old Lace is having our traditional St. Patrick's Day celebration with the Irish Mist Stepdancers, The Ridgewood Rovers, bagpipers and more. For the kiddies we will have Irish Potato Sack races on the green and some fabulous prizes. So bring the family, wear your green and get your Irish up. This is our way of saying a big THANK YOU for seven years of business.........and here's a little Irish humor, from me, Seamus to you:
An aging man lived alone in Ireland. His only son was in Long Kesh Prison, and he didn't know anyone who would spade up his potato garden. The old man wrote to his son about it, and received this reply, "For HEAVENS SAKE, don't dig up that garden, that's where I buried the GUNS!!!!!"
At 4 A.M. the next morning, a dozen British soldiers showed up and dug up the entire garden, but didn't find any guns. Confused, the man wrote to his son telling him what happened and asking him what to do next.
His son's reply was: "Just plant your potatoes."
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Love,
