I know I haven't blogged for awhile but I was having issues about getting my nails cut and my paws just couldn't work the keyboard - now that we are back in business - I have exciting news, the Irish fest is only 8 days away and it is looking like our biggest ever.  The Cape May Hibernians have jumped in and provided more entertainment and vendors than ever.  Live on the porch at Ireland and Old Lace we will have my favorite band (they played at my human's wedding) Birnam Wood - Bruce and the boys have been working on some fab new Celtic tunes including a cover of the DKM's Shipping It Up To Boston, which they debuted at the House of Blues recently.  Definitely will have the crowd pushing a pint or two..................and fresh off their QVC debut - Barleyjuice - the best legs in kilts this side of the Atlantic.  They will be selling their new double disc set, The Barleyjuice Irish Collection - with some great album artwork I might add.  Raining Hearts, the 3 Brewer sisters will make their sophmore appearance with some new tunes, guaranteed to charm all.

The 2nd stage will produce the likes of NaBodoch' - a truly Celtic experience and Jamie and the Quiet Man - and they will have you anything but quiet.

AOH president Seamus Boyle will be honored as Irishman of the year - so come, embrace your Irish roots, tip a Smithwicks or two back and enjoy South Jersey's only free Irish Festival.

And if you are looking for me that day, I'll be home - apparently it has something to do with my height and looking under one too many kilts - whatever.........I'm sure I'll hear all about it from your emails - Seamusmac@irelandandoldlace.com

See ya on the Greene!

Peace and Potatoes, Potatoes, Potatoes Boiled and Fried,

Seamus Mac
